So off to Marrakesh i jet. My bag is all packed and sitting neatly under my desk… taxi to the airport booked..gripping novel for the journey - a soul searching love story about a new york widow.. engaging stuff and i am only at chapter 2.
I love flying more than anything else in the world.. i think because when i was little it provided such an extreme of emotions.. it was either to fly home from boarding school for the holidays and i would literally count down the days to see my family, dogs and friends. And obviously get the complete reverse effect when flying back to the UK…. back to drizzle, grey days and prep time!
now-a-days flights to me are only a good thing! i am either working somewhere that has to be less boring than London 9-5 five days a week or it means HOLIDAY!! and this weekend, my friends (all 5 of you) means a grand 4 days off! Cinnamon city here i come!
I cant wait to walk through the souks on my 2nd day, the first being spent getting the much needed based tan, obvi. So i am going back to my usual haunt Riad El Fenn.. where i have stayed religious since i was introduced to the hidden gem a year or so ago. I love it… it is just inside the Medina - amongst the hussel and bussel but as soon as you step in through those ancient gigantic doors … silence. You can get lost in it … i always manage to find the pool and hammam though! oh and occasionally the bar - with some of the sweetest barmen in the land!
i might even sign up for one of their new organic cooking lessons whilst i am there! Never too soon to learn those nesting skills!
A nice little stop off at Cafe La Poste for lunch on sunday and I have just booked supper at the Fondouk! MY FAVOURITE!!

So no sooner had I jam packed all my winter warmies into the back of my closet and under my bed and brought the floaty flimsy dresses to the front, does it fall by 100 degrees suddenly over night and is so dark and gloomy its like Gothum city under siege!
Us fashion conscience Brits are determined to wear that sample sale Temperley dress and those gladiator sandals a la Sienna, so out we step into the cold windy day with the everlasting optimism that it will warm up by lunch time!
I made this error very recently and after the blue toes and goose bumps that resembled the frozen chicken(organic obviously) currently chillaxing in my freezer.. i bit the bullet and bought some thick tights and a jumper so frost bite would be kept at bay for the journey home.
So there you have it another reason, not my fault, that i spend over my means…. you wouldn’t want me to get cold now would you??

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY COME AGAIN ANOTHER DAY.. preferably when i have my Burberry trench and hunters on.. dum dee dah dee…

Not that I was ever as naive to think that fashion had anything to do with comfort, but does it bother anyone else that with the lovely hot weather comes a few early summer hurdles one has to overcome?
Off come the tights, stockings, socks, (over-the-knee if you either reside within a mile radius of Shoreditch House or are a lucky under 16!), and on come the layer of plasters and disgustingly sweaty, fiddly pop-socks!
In prepartion, I bought a new selection of summer shoes over the spring months and I always have an extra bouncey spring when i step out in them. However, the smile and confident stride ususally only lasts the lengnth of my road before my eyes start to water and I realise that i potentially have made a fatal error in not wearing them around the house to soften them in! Because Ladies, as we are all well aware, one pair of cheap nasty shoes can ruin your whole foot fashion for the summer! Those nasty little blisters and sores need to heal but until Manolo makes flip flops this is not going to happen!
So, in pain, i tread. However the wincing on my face is barley noticable as my sparkling new shoes are the star of the show! The only thing that will save them now is a good beach holiday! As good as excuse as any right?

I have just discovered jewelery designer Monica Vinader and i am obsessed! I first spotted one of her creations when i was momentarily blinded by a bright stone set in sparkling gold being flashed around by freshly manicured hand at a party this week. So jealous was i that i scrambled around net-a-porter to find the very one!

Aren’t they just precious??

I bought a lotto ticket yesterday and, of course, i didn’t win. But i like to pretend I am a lucky winner for as long as my imagination will allow!
So lets begin with establishing that i am no flash harry and will not go out and purchase a Bentley and clear out Tiffany’s!
I set this Blog up as an outlet for me to be as materialistic as i want with no disapproving glare… It is almost like my very own personal style guide, containing everything i come across that i consider to be fabulous enough for this special page of mine. Nothing is of limits because let’s not forget I am a lottery winner who never has a problem with spending her hard-earned winnings!
